Nik Haley

Nik Haley has written original music and songs for television and radio broadcasts, theatre and film for nearly 20 years. He holds a Masters Degree in Composition for Film and Television (with Distinction) from the London College of Music, where he trained under Grammy® nominee Laurence Roman (a long-time collaborator with Andrew Lloyd Webber) and Oscar® nominee Simon Lambros. He is also an experienced musical director, arranger, orchestrator, conductor and choirmaster, having conducted choirs and orchestras all over the country, including the Orchestra of Scottish Opera, The Welsh Session Orchestra, Rock Choir and Manchester Camerata. He is as at home scoring for full symphony orchestra as he is for rhythm sections, bands, vocal groups and synths. Nik has turned his hand to any style a client has requested (including rock, Rn’B, rap, folk, you name it!). But his first love is cinematic, orchestral music for TV and film. Be it epic, hybrid, trailer or underscore, Nik creates music designed to move, uplift & inspire the listener. He is signed to LA trailer music outfit Dos Brains. He is a multi-instrumentalist, playing piano, bass, guitar, drums, and to a lesser extent violin, trumpet, recorder, penny whistle, cardboard box…anything he can get his hands on that makes a nice sound. His work has been used on Al Murray’s Compete for the Meat, Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show, Alistair McGowan’s You Cannot Be Serious, Russell Howard’s Good News, The Disney Channel, Channel 5, BBC Voices and CBBC’s The Dog Ate My Homework. He is based in Surrey, UK with his wife and two children.
